So much fun!  We learned about our chompers this past week.  One super fun activity from the Kindergarten Smorgasboard...teeth painting, with a TOOTHBRUSH!!!  Oh boy!!!  So fun!!!  I recommend highly!  Bravo Mr. Greg!

These are our adorable groundhogs.  A directed draw and paint by a sweet teacher at Proud to be Primary.  So cute!  #lovehowtheyareontheground

100th Day Carnival

Hey good citizens!  Not sure if you've heard or not, but we Lakeview Laker/Firstie Nation fans have hit the good ole' 100 Day of School mark!!!!!  Un.bel.iev.able

To break away from the ordinary 100 day activities (so bored of them) a super, AWESOME idea popped into my sometimes frozen brain.  A 100th Day carnival!  Yep!  I said it, and we did it!!!!
A few of our games included...
-Bowl to 100
-Roll to 100
-Build a Castle (with 100 blocks)
-100 Face Painting
-100 Hugs and Kisses Number Match
-100 Bean Bag Throw

                                     
We wrapped up by singing "Happy 100th Day" and ate a bit of cake.

2016 Ready, Set, Go

Good citizens of the Firstie Nation!  I hope you are all having a terrific start to the new year!  Things have been moving pretty quickly in the capital.

As I have been the first and only President of the Firstie Nation to win the presidency 9 years consecutively, I felt it was important for me to keep with tradition and set a New Year's Professional Resolution.     Drum Roll.....

During my nightly surf through the first grade blogs, I most delightedly stumbled on to this cute little activity from the sweet little lady at First Grade Wow!

I am really excited about these little 120 puzzles.  Super easy.  I've seen this idea beofre, but never took the time to make these cute little things.  The senate each will get one.  They are all randomly cut, so they are all different versions of cool.  #notsureifthequalifyforawesomeyetornot

Camera Dump 101

Hey there Nation fans!  Sorry this girl has been incommunicado for a while.  Too much going on in the Capitol!  To much to describe, so let the pictures speak my words.

Science Experiment
Question:  What will happen when we mix shaving cream (#toomuchfunwecan'thandleit) with corn starch?
Hypothesis:  "It will explode."  (they think everything will explode!)
"It will turn blue."
"It will feel like liquid."
Observation: The two substance will mix to form a "snowball."
Conclusion:  The foam and the powder mixed to  make a soft substance.  We loved every minute.  (Plus the room smelled like my dad!)
