Well, the scientists once again strapped on their goggles and grabbed some test tubes to run some supa fun experiments.

What happens when you add sugar to oil and water?
What happens when you add salt to oil and water?
What happens when you add flour to oil and water?
What happens when add corn syrup to oil and water?



And the supa smart, fantastic firstie question..."Mrs. Varpness?  Why don't oil and water mix?"   Hmmmm.....do you know?

Pirates and Pictographs

Ahoy ye mateys of the Firstie Nation!!!  We're sailn' the high seas lookin' for good EXCELLENT firstie behavior!  Each month Capt. Hook (aka: Ms. Einertson), First Mate Kate (aka: Mrs. Magnuson) and Swash (aka: Mrs. Varpness) come floatin' into the first grade port to teach the youngsters how to be good lil' pirates!

 

This month we focused on the word RESPONSIBILITY!  Students who show that they are responsible consistently earned a Subway coupon.  This month's winners were:  Colton, Aleiah and Kenadi!  Thanks for being responsible!
